[two_thirds_last]Located in the heart of Quimper historical district, on an old square, this old wooden house is a testimony of the 16th century local architecture. Indeed, it’s a typical house from that period made up of a stoned ground level topped by two wooden corbelled stories. It is a part of a set of houses creating the square’s flat facade.
Despite a few facade modifications, the house keeps its original structure, hidden behind a coating and anchored wooden pieces. After strengthening of the structure, the wooden frames have been reset to their original place, with added missing parts and the change of weakened elements. The second storey wooden frame has been rebuilt.
